The Beat 105.9 Iloilo strengthen there public awareness radio plugging and public service airing for the whole community. This is the first step of giving the listeners the benefit of safety programs and needs for any up-coming decisions in unforeseen calamity or events. As we enter the rainy season and mostly many typhoon in this months. From dengue awareness to safety tips at home and many other tips for safer homes in the community.

Bottoms Up production is a newly formed production is a non-profit organization that aims to support the less fortunate children of Iloilo City. Recently been formed, the organization, in its vision of creating change in the society through arts and media.

By this 6th of June 2009, we will see their first ever gig at Capitol grounds in front of Atrium mall. A musical event that will cater Bantay Bata 163 as its beneficiary. One way or another the proceeds will be given to them(Bantay Bata 163) as a sort of help and also exercise their part as a helpful non-profit organization.

Our signal check report

On our signal check on May 20, 2009, we can reach on areas with out any problems. But areas that can't be reach may cause by large obstacles like trees, buildings and many others. This picture show beside this article is not very accurate due to some areas that can't be reach but need to relocate the antenna and/or place the radio tuner with good reception signal to get better signal. Our primary beam can be heard at the Atrium Mall area in the east and in the west, at the starting point of M.H. Del Pilar Street., Molo. In the north, around Magsaysay Village in Nabitasan, Lapaz and south in Fishing Port Iloilo. Our secondary signal more or less in this illustration.

Reports say, that our station can be heard in Jereos and Burgos all in Lapaz area with some slight low signal. Two reported in Jalandonie area near E. Lopez, Jaro, also slight low reception. In Delgado and Valeria, signal is also low. In the exclustive school for boys is load and clear same with the exclusive school for girls. In one private school in diversion road also reported load and clear. Outside the big mall in diversion road, mandurriao and smallville reports load and clear. In UPV Iloilo campus also report load and clear. In outer Iloilo, including Leganes, Zaraga, Oton, Pavia & Leon, the station has also been log for the signal test strength with mid and low signal strength. To receive, you need to have outside or aerial antenna to the Beat 105.9 signal. Reports in signal strength are still pouring in.

The Story

In May 1, 2009, the station was planned to broadcast. The preparation was made for the test broadcast on that day. It was an exciting day for the Beat 105.9 Iloilo to get ready for the initial broadcast. It when smooth starting with a power of 5 watts with two bay antenna. The station also is the second to broadcast at circular polarization antenna. The station aims to provide information and music for indie artist in the City and any Pinoy artist around the Country to be promoted and news about the weather, public service and other information for the listeners to enjoy. Plus remix and remastered tracks from various DJ's around the world and also local club DJs contridute. The beat is a LPFM station servers as a community radio for students to practice there skills in broadcasting. The station is also open for non students to practice their skills in broadcasting. From technical, electronics, computer gadget guys and gals, news gathering & research and entertaining DJ's are open.
